Description: Google Docs is a six week introductory course designed to familiarize participants with the advantages of using Google Docs in schools and classrooms. Participants will create a Google account and practice creating Google documents, spreadsheets, presentations and forms. Participants will be able to practice using all of the basic functions of Google Docs as they complete assignments and collaborate with classmates in an online environment.


Pre-requisites: This course is designed for teachers, curriculum specialists, professional development specialists, or other school personnel. Participants are expected to have regular access to computers, and proficiency with email and current web-browsers.


Objectives: This course will enable participants to:

         Set up Google Docs account

         Become familiar with the Google docs environment and home page

         Practice using Google Docs tools

         Submit Google Docs Introduction form

         Create, edit, collaborate on a Google document

         Create, edit, collaborate on a Google spreadsheet

         Create, edit, collaborate on a Google presentations

         Create, edit, collaborate on a Google forms
